Steps to Writing a Great Book
When you want to write a book there are some great steps that you can follow to help you bring out a great book. The first thing you need to know is that, you should write a story that you would most want to read. You should not begin by considering of a story that will be the best seller. Think of a book you can dip yourself into reading it. Think about the story in the book. Some may be talking about romance, history or mystery. Do not deviate so far away from the theme.
It is important to make sure that your story is about what you love. If there is a tone of voice that you love, or you have some characters that you like most, that is what is supposed to be included in your story. The idea is to ensure you write what you love. What will bring out your great writing is writing the things that you love. It will be hard to compose a story about something you do not love.
List all your crazy passions. When you begin to write let those things be on top of your desk to guide you. You need to make sure you start your writing with a character. Make it look believable. Give the character freedom to surprise you as that will take the story in a different direction. What will not shock you may also not surprise the readers. As you begin to write your story, make it look like something that is surprising. Let your look like she is facing a persuasive problem, tormenting or challenging. That will propel the character to move forward. The challenge should make the character do something that will leave the future completely changed.
The other thing that you should do id to make things happen. The story will become interesting when you have something happening in the story. You cannot write something great if there is no action. You should go through what you have written and check each scene to confirm there is something happening in each of them. You should make sure what you are writing looks believable. You should ensure that your story flows and the characters are progressing in the story without mixing them.
When you start a story make sure you finish it. Never give up on the story half way. After you finish with the story send it to the publishers. Even when you meet some opposition by some publishers, make sure you send it again. Make sure you persist on sending it out to the world again and again. While you wait for your book to be published, write another one. Deduce from your experience what will work for you. All writers go through different backgrounds, and that defines what is better for them. What you should ensure is that you do not give up.
